Our Story

Betsy, our founder, has been dancing since the age of 7. She trained with Lou Ann Young at Anderson Young Ballet until she graduated high school and went to Ball State as a Dance Performance major, where she continued to train with Lou Ann and many other talented professors. She was a member of Anderson Young Ballet Theatre and Ball State Dance Theatre, performing lead roles in The Nutcracker, Giselle, Coppelia, Paquita, and many other classical and contemporary works.

After graduation, Betsy taught for Anderson Young Ballet until she got married and moved to Northwest Indiana. There, she was a teacher at United Dance Arts but spent most of her time being mom to her two daughters. After a few years, her family moved back to Central Indiana, where she taught for Indy Dance Academy and Cole Academy. In 2021, she shifted careers and got her masters in Human Resources and Business Management and started working for an event production company, Nazar Agency, as the Director of Human Resources.

Now that her children are both in school, she decided it is time for a new project! Pendleton has always been home and she would like to share her knowledge of classical dance with the community!
